The Platform Consists of eight Subject Areas:

Economy & Labor

Education

Environment

Foreign Policy & National Security

Healthcare & Public Health

Human Rights

Infrastructure

Protecting Democracy

Beginning in May, the Platform Committee solicits “plank” suggestions for the various subject areas from the various caucuses and committees of the DPO and uses that information to draft a Platform.

Input is solicited as to the suggested planks and a vote is taken among committee members and the proposed Platform is finalized.

Legislative Action Items*

* Those items suggested to the legislature for action in support of specific Platform areas

The Platform Committee has been soliciting input as to legislative actions and will make suggestions to the convention body

During the convention , delegates will meet in the subject area of their choice, and are responsible for considering and prioritizing the suggested legislative actions and then will cull the suggestions to the top 12 in each subject area

All convention delegates are then able to vote on their top two items in each subject area, as well as your top two choices overall
