What is the May 4th Day of Action?
The May 4th Day of Action is our big kickoff to reach voters right as ballots hit their mailboxes. It's the most important time to talk to people — when they have their ballots in hand and are deciding who to vote for in May Special District Local Elections.
On May 4th, volunteers will be picking up their materials and receive instructions between 11 AM and 1 PM at the Coos Bay Library parking lot(Bennett Street). From there, people can go out to knock doors, phone bank, or text bank*.
The goal is simple: remind people to vote, make sure they know about the good candidates, and boost turnout in an election where a handful of votes can decide everything.
Whether you can spend a whole afternoon or just a few hours, showing up for Day of Action means showing up for our schools, hospitals, and community services.
